Disc brakes conversion for your 544?

Although the configuration is not completely original, we get asked regularly if it is possible to fit front disc brakes on a 544. Or on a Duett, or on a 444, which have basically the same construction.
Using as much Volvo original parts as possible, a 100% reliable and better braking system can be realised, which completely avoids the infamous pulling to one side effect and the "biting" which sometimes happens when braking for the first time in the morning.
We have developed sets for converting these cars from drum to disc brakes.

These sets contain:
- New disc brakes
- Reconditioned brake callipers
- New brake pads, dust shields and brake hoses

Even with a stock braking system with front drums it is possible for a 544 to have good braking performance. However, we recommend these sets to everyone who takes an interest in a more modern and reliable braking system.
